Pattern Suggestions
Pattern discovery is disabled by default and is no longer linked from the application
navigation. The feature is still available to app administrators who navigate directly to
/admin/pattern-discovery and enable it there.
Administration -> Pattern Suggestions lists patterns found by pattern discovery. Each suggestion includes the token shape, example locations given as project and issue key, affected projects, estimated occurrences, and a discovery confidence score. The examples are locators, not text: no sample of the matched content is kept.
Actions on a suggestion:
- Run discovery for a scan ID.
- Generate a candidate regex.
- Validate the candidate regex.
- Convert the suggestion into a custom rule.
When converting, you can edit the rule name, category, severity, scope, description, regex, and context keywords. Converted rules follow the normal custom-rule lifecycle - including the test-before-activation gate. See Rules.
